Spring's on it's way!

The previous two entries seemed so emotional and worrying. I am really sorry for that. But I am really fine now, back in Taiwan, stepping into a new phase of my teaching career.

Leaving Singapore, where I call home literally, my comfort zone, is actually a struggling process for me, even though I have been repeating the same departure procedures twice every year. I won't show my reluctance. I may appear indifferent at home, but deep down my heart, I wish that I can linger a little longer.

Not until when I started packing my luggage, I found a plane model my student made for me before I left Taiwan for winter break.
It looks simple, but it's significant to me.  It symbolizes the sincerity of the students. See how pure and innocent, how genuine they are! It's a great motivation for me.

Now I am back in Taiwan! Spring is on it's way. I am welcomed by a slightly warm weather, that I don't have to adapt to the climate. And of course, there are many teachers here, trying their best to give the overseas students their warmest welcome. Hey, it's a boarding school here. Students have to stay here for five months. It's indeed a challenge for both students and teachers here!

The happiest news I hear today is: I am back teaching the same class of students whom I taught last semester. We thought that I would hardly get back to them again this semester. They protested literally last semester, when they learnt that I am no longer their science teacher. Some students even cried. They started writing me cards. It is a big surprise for both me and the students. When I stepped into the English classroom this afternoon, I was greeted by a loud exclamation, "YUAN!"

Yay! Thank you everyone for helping me to overcome my nostalgia.
